XV Conferenza dei Ricercatori Italiani nel Mondo, online il 12 dicembre sulla pagina Facebook della Texas Scientific Italian Community

HOUSTON – Si terrà il 12 dicembre in videoconferenza la XV Conferenza dei Ricercatori Italiani nel Mondo: evento organizzato dalla Texas Scientific Italian Community in collaborazione con la Rice University. L’evento sarà trasmesso sulla pagina Facebook ufficiale della Texasic: i lavori cominceranno alle 8.30 (ora locale) e quindi alle 15.30 (ora italiana).

Prevista la partecipazione all’incontro di numerosi ricercatori e accademici, esperti in diversi campi: dall’aerospaziale alle energie rinnovabili passando naturalmente per la medicina. Diversi gli interventi istituzionali in programma : Alberto Pimpinelli (Presidente della Texas Scientific Italian Community), Federico Ciattaglia (Console Generale d’Italia a Houston), Vincenzo Arcobelli (Consigliere del Cgie negli Usa), Gaetano Manfredi (Ministro dell’Università e della Ricerca), Pier Paolo Sileri (Viceministro della Salute), Francesco Ubertini (Rettore dell’Università di Bologna). Seguono i diversi panel che vedono alternarsi gli esperti dei vari settori della ricerca, a cominciare dal mondo associativo. Fabio De Furia (Presidente della Miami Scientific Italian Community), Antonio Giordano (Presidente della Sbarro Health Research Organization), Simone Lucatello (Presidente dell’Associazione Ricercatori Italiani in Messico), Emilia Giorgetti (Attaché Scientifica Ambasciata d’Italia in Messico), Cinzia Zuffada (Presidente della Italian Scientists & Scholars in North America Foundation).

Seguono i ricercatori: Francesco Fusco (FISE –Executive Director Foundation for International Space Education), Veronica Bindi (Ph.D. University of Hawaii) che tratterà di space weather and space radiation for future manned missions to the Moon and Mars, Fabrizio Festa (PA & Safety Engineer, European Space Agency ESA – The Hague – Netherlands) che tratterà di Orion Mission overview and the road to the next humans on the Moon. Brando Ballerini (Presidente della Camera di Commercio Italia-America) modera il panel dedicato all’energia che vede l’intervento di Francesco Balestrino (Renewable and Green Technologies product Manager Xsight Division) su Floating offshore wind Hexafloat Saipem Solution. Nel panel dedicato alla medicina intervengono: Sara Molinari (Ph.D. Biology Engineering Rice University – Houston), Gabriele G. Schiattarella (M.D. Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Cardiology, Università Federico II di Napoli and UT Southwestern Medical Center Dallas), Alessio Fasano (M.D. Director at Harvard University Center for Celiac Research and Director of the Mucosal Immunology and Biology Research Center at MassGeneral Hospital for Children). Si parlerà di Healing Power of Nutrition: How Diet Can Reshape Gut Microbiome and Influence The Balance between Health and Disease.  Bruna Corradetti (Ph.D. Houston Methodist Research Institute Houston, Swansea University Medical School). Si parlerà di Biomimetic and Immunomodulatory Strategies for the Treatment of Chronic Conditions.

Si prosegue con: Frank M. La Ferla (Ph.D. Dean and Chancellor’s Professor School of Biological Sciences University of California) su Studying and Treating Alzheimer’s Disease and the Role of Animal Models; Andrea Natale (M.D. Executive Director of the Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute at St. Davis Medical Center in Austin Texas and the National Medical Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology for HCA Healthcare); Camillo Ricordi (M.D. Stacy Joy Goodman Professor and Director of the Diabetes Research Institute and the Cell Transplant Center at the University of Miami) su Umbilical Cord Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cell Infusions for Treatment of Subjects with COVID-19 and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, a Double Blind Randomized Controlled Trial; Enrico Santus (Ph.D. Senior Data Scientist at Bayer New Jersey) su Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities in the Health Care.

Fisici e biologi si occupano del panel successivo: Antonino Zichichi (Emeritus Professor of UNIBO Former President of the World Federation of Scientists), Alessandro Alabastri (Ph.D. Assistant Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering Rice University Houston), Lorenzo Brancaleon (AP Department of Physics and Astronomy University of Texas at San Antonio), Angela Lombardi (Ph.D. Historic Preservation Program at University of Texas at San Antonio), Mauro Degli Esposti (Senior Researcher Fellow Center for Genomic Science UNAM, National Autonomous University of Mexico). L’argomento sarà incentrato sulle origini della respirazione cellulare.
